Terms of use

Last updated 10 October 2026.

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use UK Map Guide (“we”, “us”), including browsing the directory, creating an account, adding a listing, writing a review or buying an upgrade.

2. Accounts

You must give accurate details and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

3. Listings

You may only list a business you own or are authorised to represent. Listings must be for a genuine business with a UK address. Information must be accurate and must not be misleading, unlawful, offensive or infringe anyone's rights.

We check listings before publishing them and may edit, decline or remove any listing at our discretion, including listings that appear to exist mainly for links, duplicate another listing, or promote prohibited goods or services.

Businesses we do not list

We do not accept listings for, or that promote:

Listings in these categories are removed without notice, and we may block the account. Paid upgrades on a listing removed for this reason are not refunded.

By submitting text and photos, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display them on the site and in related promotion of the directory.

4. Reviews

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience, must not be written by or for the business owner, and must not contain links, personal data or abusive content. We moderate reviews and may decline or remove them.

5. Paid upgrades

Featured and Premium upgrades can only be bought for listings that are live, and run for the period shown at checkout from the moment payment is confirmed. They are one-off payments, not subscriptions. Upgrades are non-refundable once started, except where the law requires. Removal of a listing for breaking these terms does not entitle you to a refund.

6. Using the directory

Business information is provided by the businesses themselves. We do not guarantee its accuracy and are not responsible for the services businesses provide. You must not scrape the site in bulk, send unsolicited marketing to listed businesses using details taken from the site, or try to interfere with the service.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will show the date of the latest version on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
